Brumino privacy notice

Who we are

Brumino is a habit challenge app you play with friends. It is operated by MIVO STUDIO S.R.L. (Romania), which is the controller of the personal data described here. Company details are at the bottom of this page. Contact us at hello@brumino.com. We process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

• Account: the email address and user id from your sign-in method (Sign in with Apple, which may be a private relay address, Google, or an email code).
• Profile: the display name you choose, your creature and avatar choices, your time zone, and your level and points.
• Check-ins: the photo you take for each check-in, an optional note, the time, and whether friends confirmed it.
• Apple Health (optional): for steps, exercise minutes or workout habits, Brumino reads that data on your device. When you submit a Health check-in, only that day's total for the selected habit is sent to us; raw samples stay on your phone. Brumino never writes to Apple Health.
• Social content: comments, reactions, group chat messages, group names, verification decisions, reports you send and people you block.
• Game data: coins, items, streaks and group memberships.
• Device data: a push notification token, if you turn on notifications.
• Diagnostics and usage: crash reports (error, device model, OS and app version), app open and background events, and the names of main actions (such as sending a check-in or joining a group) with counts only. These are tagged with your private user id and never contain names, notes, codes or photos.

We do not collect your contacts, location or advertising identifier.

How we use it and why

To run the game: record check-ins, calculate points and streaks on our servers, show your group the photos they need to verify, send reminders you asked for, keep the service safe, fix bugs and answer support requests. Our legal bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in a safe and working service, and your consent where we ask for it (for example notifications and Apple Health).

Who can see your content

Check-in photos and notes are visible only to members of the group you checked in for. Photos are stored privately, never publicly. People you block, and people who block you, cannot see your profile or check-ins. Anyone with an invite link can see the group's name, habit, length and number of players, never names or photos.

How long we keep it

• Check-in photos are deleted automatically after 30 days.
• Account data is kept until you delete your account.
• Deleting your account in the app (Me, Settings, Delete account) removes your profile, photos and data. Copies may remain in backups for a short time, and records we must keep by law stay as long as required.

No ads, no selling

Brumino has no ads. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising or tracking. Apple Health data is used only for habit check-ins.

Service providers

Your account, check-ins, photos, chat and comments are stored with Supabase in the EU (database, private photo storage and server functions). Our subprocessors also include PostHog EU cloud in Frankfurt (crash reports and usage events), Vercel (this website), Expo and Apple (push notifications), and Apple or Google (sign-in). They process data only on our instructions. Where data leaves the EU, it is protected by an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete, restrict or export your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Change your name and delete your account inside the app; for anything else email hello@brumino.com. You may also complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP) or the authority in your EU country.

AI and training

Your photos, notes and messages are not sold and are not used to train AI models.

Children

Brumino is not meant for children under 16. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app before it applies.
